Many books have been written to explore
Both liberal and right wing historians try to present their own perspective but as an ordinary Pakistani, I always end up with confusion. If Pakistan was created on the basis of Two Nation Theory then who will guarantee the rights to religious minorities in Pakistan. Why “Muslim/Bengali” women were raped and thousands killed in

As Baloch, when we demand for equal rights for our language, people frown and question our patriotism. In school, as kids we are forced to learn basics in URDU ‘an Indo Aryan Indian Language’, verses and characters of alien
Lately I came across an interesting debate on T.V, vocal Marvi facing right wing Zaid Hamid, she eloquently presented the irrelevance of Two Nation Theory. She also highlighted an interesting fact that Iqbal had role in the making of

I hate TNT, but still I hate those people more who can't comprehend English or try to interpret history.
Where was two nation theory, when Bengalis were raped and killed ???
Imran, what you wrote makes a lot of sense. One thing that have got to remember is that through the ages, justice is a Utopian concept. All of of us in our own way suffer because of injustice. "death of one, murderer; of millions, a hero." Javed Sadiq
A thoughful post!
Very true that regional policies and especially the eduation system in Pakistan is flawed. History is distorted in Pakistani text books. Islam and the history of Pakistan has been hijacked by a few - whom media is imposing on everybody! Every Tom, Dick and Harry is an analyst, expert and a think tank - no wonder too many cooks spoil the broth.
Somebody put it very beautifully that Pakistan was a nation in search of a country but now we are a country in search of a nation!
