Pakistan's Drift into Extremism, Allah, the Army, and America's War on Terror !!

War on Terror is getting bloodier, resulting into bleeding Pakistan, dying civilians, bomb blasts, insecurity and killing of innocent civilians. Pakistanis generally believe that war on terror is imposed by Bush on Pakistan; invasion of Afghanistan is a scheme of US, India and Israel to destabilize Pakistan resulting in the break up and ultimate capture of nuclear weapons. It is well known that Islamists have always been used to extend Pakistani influence in Afghanistan, it has always been considered Pakistani backyard that provides strategic depth. It is also believed that in an environment of distrust and insecurity, it is imperative for Pakistani security agencies to find proxies to minimize insecurity posed by regional powers. To buy security various groups were recruited as proxies “Sept 09 Newsline Magazine writes”, Madrassas nurturing armies of young Islamic militants ready to embrace martyrdom have been on the rise for years in the Punjab. In fact, South Punjab has become the hub of jihadism. Yet, some how, there are still many people in Pakistan who refuse to acknowledge this threat. Four major militant outfits, the Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP), Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Tayyaba (LeT), are all comfortably ensconced in South Punjab (see article “Brothers in Arms” in Newsline). Sources claim that there are about 5,000 to 9,000 youth from South Punjab fighting in Afghanistan and Waziristan. A renowned Pakistani researcher, Hassan Abbas cites a figure of 2,000 youth engaged in Waziristan”. To me, it is logical that actions should be the by products of strategy, it is well known that strategically the extremist outfits have never been considered a threat by Pakistani security thinkers. US so far failed to address the security mindset, failed to remove their insecurities. Instead of addressing the issue at strategic level, US focus is too narrow, pushing reluctant Pakistan to act, forced to cooperate at tactical level. In short US failed to buy security for Pakistan and it seems two allies are pursuing different goals, relationship lacks goal alignment. Recent Hillary Clinton visit to Pakistan demonstrate that instead of focusing on changing the mindset , Ms Clinton again pushes reluctant Pakistan, New York Times writes, “ Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, on a visit meant to improve relations with Pakistan, strongly suggested Thursday that some Pakistani officials bore responsibility for allowing terrorists from Al Qaeda to operate from safe havens along this country’s frontier. “I find it hard to believe that nobody in your government knows where they are, and couldn’t get to them if they really wanted to,” she said to a group of Pakistani journalists on her second day here. “Maybe that’s the case; maybe they’re not gettable. I don’t know.” US actions requires two pronged approach, alter the mindset that finds security for Pakistan in nurturing the extremists. US should work on convincing Pakistan that it is not in their benefit to use extremists, -help in buying them security esp. Indo-Pak ties and Afghanistan. On the other hand, problem is so deep; Can Pakistan affords to detach itself from religious ideology, security mindset visualizes the world through religious glasses, it means choosing friends and foes on the basis of religion?? Can it survive as democratic secular, non interfering welfare state, having peaceful relations with neighboring countries or national security state is the answer??? It is complex, only a win-win approach is going to be fruitful, US strategy must buy Pakistan security, otherwise any action imposed, may have random results. Extremist monster will haunt Pakistani society, region and result in an insecure world. It is time to act before it is too late.

Obama’s Ramadan Message; Positive & Promising

As a Muslim, when I saw Obama’s Ramadan Kareem message it reminded me of his powerful Cairo speech. Reaching out to Muslims, burying past, promising a better tomorrow and beginning with the process of better understanding through listening and reaching out.

Ramadan is the ninth month of Islamic calendar, a time to practice patience and modesty, pray extra and refrain from eating, drinking, smoking and sex from dawn until sunset.

When he says “On behalf of the American people – including Muslim communities in all 50 states – I want to extend best wishes to Muslims in America and around the world. Ramadan Kareem”, we as Muslims feel that these words have deep meaning; it shows that US is moving forward and genuinely trying to understand and bridge the gaps between Muslims & US or West.

He also reminds the importance of the month, our responsibilities as human being to one another, he says “Ramadan is the month in which Muslims believe the Koran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad, beginning with a simple word – iqra. It is therefore a time when Muslims reflect upon the wisdom and guidance that comes with faith, and the responsibility that human beings have to one another and to God”.

It is generally believed that religion ‘Islam’ breeds hatred and terrorism, however, Obama shares that “These rituals remind us of the principles that we hold in common, and Islam’s role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance, and the dignity of all human beings. On political front, Iraq withdrawal is already welcomed by Muslim world, however US engagement in Afghanistan and Pakistan is much needed to wipe out common enemy. Obama’s promise towards the isolation of violent extremists through empowering people is very positive and promising for regional peace, leading to global harmony. Occasional ceremonial communiqué with Muslim World, have deep impact, it defeats the cynics and more concrete steps towards better understanding is much needed at faster pace. This would help us in getting rid of common enemy, it is not only a plague for Muslim world but for human civilization at large. I hope we may see more concrete steps towards learning from each other, respecting to one another and seeking common grounds.

I am sure; America can be a partner with 1.5 bill Muslims around the world, as per the Muslim World’s aspiration.

Please, No Scarf & No Swimming in 'Burkini'

Hey, you all have heard about Burkha, you might be wondering what is Burkini, well it is a covered swimming costume designed to spare the blushes of Muslim women worldwide.

Today I came across interesting yet controversial news; it says “A French mother was banned from wearing the three-piece outfit at her local swimming pool”. First thought came in mind was, Ugh, liberal West is discriminating against Muslim women, later I read that it was banned not due to discrimination but it is simply a hygiene problem. I tend to buy this argument, because even people wearing shorts in the pools are also not allowed.

I still remember my interactions in Hot Jacuzzi, most of the members were not allowed to wear long shorts. I recall, one of my Italian friend raised his eyebrows, when a guy with long shorts sat in Jacuzzi, his response was “Ugh, why everyone washes their dirty laundry in this Jacuzzi”

Well, another issue that was in the media for long, was scarf ban, people thought its discrimination against Muslims. Later I read that French society has bitter past when it comes to religion. They not only banned Scarf but any religious symbol be it Star of David or Christian Cross or Sikh Turban, society in general feels display of religious symbol is against the essence of socio-cultural norm influenced by bitter past.

 The intriguing part is that these Muslims are allowed to take their plea to the court and fight it out with convincing argument. I am not blind follower of western social norms but if I compare western society with Muslims, I find Women are not as repressed in West as in Muslim societies. Just take the case of Pakistan, status of women is ‘in general’ merely a child producing machine. On the other hand if I look at Saudi Arabia, no other religion is allowed to perform religion in public!!!! yet we criticize west for not ensuring religious freedom. Don’t raise your eyebrows, let me share, US South, Biblical Belt is very conservative, Churches are all around but grand mosque is also allowed, Muslims are free to follow their religion ‘ agree after 9/11 things have changed’ but in general I found there is Justice and Freedom in west as compared to Muslims World. Give it a thought !!

Eat LAYS Chips; Halal & Haram !!! I SAY LAY IT DOWN N TAKE IT OUT LAYS

Today I came across an interesting TV advertisement, showing singer turned religious guy, Junaid Jamshed. I did not believe, a multinational brand is selling CHIPS through JJ. Later I discovered that some of the people propagated that Lays are made in PIG Fat…whatever. The advertisement reminded me about the story of Mongols, when Mongols were about to invade Iraq, the Iraqis were debating weather a CROW is Halal or Haram!!! (Halal (حلال, ḥalāl, Halaal) is an Arabic term designating any object or an action which is permissible to use or engage in, according to Islamic law. It is the opposite of haraam) Just look at MNCs advertisement, Lays is trying to convince the Pakistani society to buy Lays because its Halal and look at the Indian society they show their culture, music, dance in their creative yet captivating advertisements. These advertisements tell volumes about each society. I fear days may come, when LUX would be showing a girl wearing Hijab and convincing users that its HALAL and Pig Tallow has not been used in the process. I remember during my daily interactions with various business entrepreneurs, most of the trading community or SME sector guys are deeply into religion (on surface) and most of them find modern banking, HARAM. Oh that reminds me various HALAL banking products are being launched all across Pakistan. These same religious minded entrepreneurs evade taxes, lies, overcharge, black marketing, hoarding and all sort of un Islamic business means are used to maximize wealth. On the other hand they claim that material world is short and one should be caring and thinking about life hereafter. One should also teach the hypocrite society that lying, tax evasion, hypocrisy, back biting, overcharging, black marketing etc all are HARAM. World is moving faster unlike us busy in sorting out Halal and Haram.

Why Extremism? Why Terrorism? Why State Barbarism, Ethnic Barbarism, Religious Barbarism??

Everyday, somewhere someone is victim of extremism, terrorism and barbarism. We fail to understand and comprehend, as human being what actually causes such brutal step or reaction. It seems as a society we still are immature and long way to go to address extreme behavior. Somebody killed in the name of religion other in the name of ethnicity or politics. Have we ever asked, what are the psychological factors that are responsible for terrorism? What social conditions cause them to develop? And what can we, as individuals, do to influence them? Globally the World-Trade Center disaster has provoked an intense U.S. led offensive against terrorism. Baloch nationalist political demand and struggle for economic rights provoked extreme Pakistani State offensive.  Most people seem to think that this kind of war or behavior is something new. It's not. Many other tragic conflicts in recent times fit the same model; Genocides that occurred in Kosovo and Bosnia Attempted extermination of the Kulak peasant class in Russia Actions of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia Hutus vs. the Tutsies in the Congo Turk’s genocidal massacre of the Armenians Holocaust of European Jews at the hands of the Nazi's While on the surface, these may seem like completely unrelated events, they all embody a similar core philosophy. These conflicts are each characterized by having one group which sees itself as being tragically oppressed, and seeks freedom or prosperity through the annihilation of an 'evil' group of oppressors. Sound familiar? It should. The comparison between the scenarios mentioned above and the situation that prompted the September 11th attacks or killing of Bugti or Balach in Balochistan is obvious. America is the perceived oppressor at which Bin Laden directs all of his rage. Pakistan’s arm offensive towards Baloch made Baloch perceive Pakistan as oppressor state, in both cases result is extreme responses. Some people seem to think that we can obliterate terrorism simply by wiping Al Qaeda and its 'evil leader' off the face of the earth. Such a belief, however, is far from true. Even if one kills every single terrorist or miscreant who lives on this earth today, the future would still remain uncertain. We do need military action, but we need to supplement it with psychological tactics. We must know why these situations occur, and act accordingly. As society today, we have a basic understanding of how such conflicts emerge, and solid ideas as to how their development can be interrupted. Central to the creation of extremism is a concept called totalism. For our purposes, totalism can be thought of as an exaggerated form of something that exists within each one of us: the tendency to see ourselves as wholly good and 'the enemy' as wholly bad. The only path to win-win situation is, to get rid of totalism …..answer lies within, it is the way we think about others.

“Two Women = One Man" Women Flogging in the Name of Religion !!!

Lately I had discussion with few friends about women rights in Pakistan. I always have strong belief that both sexes, gender should have similar rights, in spite of historical justification provided by religion. Few gone to an extent saying that "in religion the evidence of one man is equal to the evidence of two women. Both can not be equal" It made me think, lately I had an interesting interaction across US, and it firmed my belief that it is medieval religious-social interpretation that denies women all the rights, and it needs to be changed. Islam itself provides or allows Ijtehad “to look for the meaning in contemporary social context”. Yesterday, I was shocked to see women flogging by Taliban on the streets of Pakistan city of SAWAT. It was sick and disgusting to see such atrocities in the name of religion; it is also lament so see that other religious scholars across the country also support such practices. I am still confused, is it religious philosophy that suggest maltreatment of women? or is it the flawed practice or interpretation of religion in Pakistan by clerics who are influenced by tribal mindset?

It is evident that religion encourages logical argument, provides rational of each practice from a historical context but as a society we use, misuse and abuse religion as per our convenience. I just want to divert attention to two following examples, if someone thinks two women=one men; I was at Boeing 777 manufacturing plant in Seattle, Washington. Ever single aero plane i.e, 777 is handed over to customer after the test flight by the Chief Pilot. The Chief Pilot at BOEING is a woman. Later on National Geographic I saw a documentary on Vegas, Nevada. City is all about light, fun, entertainment and night life. Live electric wires need mantainence without disconnecting the electricity. The best resource to do this job is a women, heading a team of engineers. Women, shaping history, making important decisions, running the countries. People like Taliban and their sponsors, try to put women in cage, use them as sexual toy and justify it through religion. At times I think, 'Girls are lucky !!! who are not Muslim & not living on Taliban Land or on the Land of Pure'.

Religious Confusion; Are You Shia or Sunni? Muslim; a True Muslim?? Hindu, Jew or Christian??

Uff there is so much religious complication, so many sects and groups; one may wonder which one to follow. It is so common that follower of one Muslim school of thought may not attend religious congregation in the mosque where followers belong to other/different school of thought. You may find the difference in the color of turban, and rituals. This all makes me wonder, its one religion and so many complicated minor difference making people disintegrated rather than united. However, someone lately asked me one question; either I am Shia or Sunni? My reply was that I am a Baloch. Guy was taken aback to hear my reply, frankly it has been 5,000 years we are Baloch, just 1,400 years, we are Muslims . It may take me one minute to change my religion but I can not change from a Baloch to a Dutch, Irish or Chinese. On broader sense my understanding of all Semitic religions “Islam, Judaism & Christianity” has basic similarities. When someone bogs down into rituals than small differences pop out and make everything complicated. I am completely off as far as rituals are concerned; to me it is important to follow religious crux or core that is to be good human being. Frankly when I look at Jewish Ten Commandments I don’t think any follower of Semitic religion would disagree ‘except to remember Sabbath’. Here are Ten Commandments, God handed over to Prophet Moses on Mount Sinai; “I am the Lord your God, You shall have no other gods before me, You shall not make for yourself an idol, You shall not make wrongful use of the name of your God, Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy, Honor your father and mother, You shall not kill, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor, You shall not covet your neighbor's wife & You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor….” We as Pakistani society are too much bogged down into rituals and confused in small self created superficial differences, we are hypocrite, we lie, we don’t pay taxes, we love backbiting, we are dishonest in our conduct, we disrespect women……… I see mosques full of people yet on the other hand social values are crumbling down…..making me more skeptic of Pakistani society. We are an emotional, irrational and illogical society living in dark ages; I can easily relate Pakistani society with European dark ages. I can only hope for a renaissance…….

Religion is not all About Rituals……Follow Rituals or Burn in Hell!!

My religious perspective mostly generates discussions with range of people across society. Lately, one of our friend “he is one of the leader in the largest Political Party’ was blamed that he drinks alcohol, its Haram etc. I hardly do the religious rituals yet claim to be a Muslims or rather good human being and at times people comment that you guys will be burn to hell. I won’t mind social drinking, having deep down respect for Hindus, Jews, and Christians rather for humans.

I am completely skeptic of Pakistani society, a twin faced, people wearing mask, using religion to look pious and do moral policing yet deep down living a monstrous life.

People do all kind of rituals, mosques are full, Umrah & Haj rituals are not missed yet our society is turning ugly, crime, corruption, tax evasion, exploitation of labor, brutality against women, killing in the name of religion & honor, sectarianism is witnessing rising trend.

Does anyone care? Or we are blinded by rituals or turned into unthinking ritualistic society!! Lately I was reading Nadeem Paracha “NAKED LUNCH: To Burn or Not to Burn in Hell” in daily dawn, he initiates an interesting discussion. People emphasize religious rituals yet society is turning ugly.

People emphasize on offering prayers “its essence is to stop and remind Muslims that curtain things are bad, to be avoided” rather prayer is way forward to becoming a good human being and social person. However, the essence is practically missing from our acts and dealings rather as a society we are too focused on rituals ‘focus is, how to hold hands during prayers, what should be length of shalwar ….. Shalwar takhnoon say kitni oopar honi chahiyeh etc’

He asks an interesting question “don’t you think had Muslims spent more time philosophically and rationally determining and investigating the message of the Qu’ran instead of reducing the intellectual discourse in this regard to the basic levels of ritual and dogma handed down to us by some rigid old men, the sight of mosques full of worshippers could have really meant something more than mere ritualism?”

He further writes “Quran needs interpretation according to the needs of Muslims in every day and age. It is full of metaphors. It is meant to be interpreted, isn’t it? That’s what most rational Islamic scholars have been trying to do for so long.”

He laments that there is no awakening happening among young Muslims, it seems like, we are collapsing inwards with outdated talk about laws made hundreds of years ago by Ulema of their times and their followers who would now like to see Muslim groups turn into static, unthinking totalitarian societies.

This discussion makes me think that science, philosophy and reason is need of the hour to rationally interpret religion rather pushing people into rituals.

Killing in the Name of Religion- Hatered Everywhere - Hey World, Stop Immaturity!!

Today I was watching HBO, came across a movie on Saudi terrorists rocking USA, and killing innocent civilians. Then turned to Time & Newsweek magazine it was all about Mumbai killings & post attack crackdown. Dawn newspaper also contained most of the news related to Jihadi crackdown and possible nuclear war. If I look back my history class books, all the way I find score of religious wars, Muslims vs. Christians or Jews to impose religious superiority of one group over other. In response, most of the time ‘the will’ of one group was forcefully imposed over others, however in the back of all, economic and political interests along with hegemonistic desires of one group was hidden. On the one hand, all religions ‘mainly Semitic’ talk of same GOD, preach the same philosophy of Love, Peace, Brotherhood and on the other hand religion have been used for division, hatred and war. History is witness of crusade and holy wars etc Material instincts of human being along with male dominating ego are catalyst in using the religion as a tool to further their personal and group goals. This brings me to conclusion that human being progressed materially all the way marching from dark ages to modern and post modern age but yet basic instinct of greed and dominance still thrives. This brings me to another question, does world lack maturity? Is couple of thousand of years not sufficient for human generation to learn and move forward as human being instead of material being? Is Utopian society is an impractical dream? Do we need religion to be good human? Will ever in this world people stop thinking as Jew, Muslim, Christian or Hindu? Will ever in this world, people experience human connection instead of socially imposed dividing bullshit?? I am completely lost on my way in the search of the answers to above questions …..

Hey Women, Use One-Eye Veil “Parday Mein Rehnay Dou”

I was surprised to read the news on BBC; it says “A Muslim cleric in Saudi Arabia has called on women to wear a full veil, or niqab, that reveals only one eye. Sheikh Muhammad al-Habadan said showing both eyes encouraged women to use eye make-up to look seductive.” Wearing both eye make up looks seductive, OMG, it may look seductive to those clerics who call for enforcement of one eye veil. At times religious interpretation sounds extremely subjective to me; frankly, nothing happens to most of the guys if they see women with both eye make up, even scarf that shows full face with make up doesn’t make much difference. Believe you me CLERICS, nothing happens to guys ; just looking at girls who do not cover their head. Hmmm can’t guarantee, if guys land on topless Greek beaches, they may or surely end up with ejaculation and an orgasm.

Imagine; girls on the streets of Karachi with one eye veil, driving, at work, on streets, even at Park Towers or Forum and at Arizona Grill having lunch :P

Scarf Ban in France & Bikini Clad Girls on the Streets of ZAINAB MARKET

It has been interesting discussion, whenever we come across any news related to scarf related ban in France or other EU countries, we raise eyebrows. We questions, how come liberal Europe is so intolerant of religious freedom! I came across an interesting read; it says how can you defend France’s laws banning hijabs in public schools? Replied argument is, “They have banned Sikh turbans and the wearing of Christian crosses and Jewish Star of David as well. Law is not against Muslims, It is against exhibiting overt religious symbols in public. France is a secular country and it has every right to do so. What if a European woman appears in a mini skirt on Zainab Market? You will say, since you are an Islamic republic, you have the right to ban such attire in public, wouldn’t you. I think they tolerate a lot more hijabs and turbans in their country than we ever tolerate crosses, shorts and skirts in ours!! Give it a thought, argument is self convincing. How tolerant Pakistani Taliban are?? How tolerant Pakistani Mullahs are?? Give it a thought.

MISYAR; Marriage of Convenience or HALAL SEX

Recently I came across the word Misyar; it is a Sunni marriage contract with a difference. In Misyar, the man can marry another woman without informing his first wife from a traditional marriage. He has no obligation to support wife, there is no dowry to be paid. Ironically it is not public and kept secret.

It is practiced in Saudi, to them it is common belief that if woman remain single she will get into unlawful sex and guy should also marry three or four woman so that unlawful sex could be avoided.

In Egypt ‘short contractual marriages are called URFI marriage. If any woman is single or divorced, MISYAR can help get away with stigma of being single woman.

Marriage can last from 48 hours to a year with no obligation…..depend on sexual lust & orgasmic temperament.

Article hit me hard; we talk a lot about West & immoral sexual openness. Well, yes they are immoral but what is Misyar;

A contract, pay and have sex and dump after 48 hours, no obligation. To me moral difference in Arabic and Western society is simple.

Arab eat Halal chicken West eat Haram chicken, isn’t subjective, the notion of Halal Sex & Haram Sex !!!!!!

If one screws around & brand short term sex HALAL…..it is morally correct but straight short term Western sex is immoral and Haram .

Guys, world seems to me very very subjective so are religious-cultural norms.

“Stupid…..For Education, Go to China, Africa……. But Not Faisalabad”

I was stunned to read the news that 23 students of Punjab Medical College Faisalabad were kicked out from College because there were Ahmedis/ Qadiani. Out of 23, about 15 were girls and college alleged them of preaching their religious views in medical college.

Let me ask few questions to our fellow SUPER HUMAN BEING ‘MUSLIMS’;

Well, if Ahmedis were preaching their religious view…fine…is the Muslims belief in Faisalabad so weak that anyone can convert them. We are talking about professional Muslim students in a medical college. It did not happen somewhere in a small town in Jhang or in Daska or in Cheecho Ki Malyan or in Changa Managa.

Why our Pakistani brand of Islam force people in a large city like Faisalabad to treat people like SHOODAR ‘untouchable’ because of their belief.

If Prophet Muhammad ‘PBUH’ could get into truce with Christians and Jews and sign the Madina Pact to guarantee a peaceful neighborhood, irrespective of religious belief. Is Faisalabadi brand of Islam different from that of Arabia?

Pakistani poor population suffers from basic medical facilities and per capita doctors is the lowest in the region. Can we afford if 23 professionals kicked out in the middle. Who will suffer???

How hard it is to get into medical college and to stay there and spend years for a future….it is painful to be kicked out in the middle and it results in shattered dreams. Be civilized and humane please.

If this is how things should be, then we Pakistani should not have any right to get into US or European universities for higher education because we have different religious views that of US and European Christians. And also if any Pakistani offers prayer in the Western Countries then they should be jailed, put behind the bars!!!!! Shouldn’t they?

For God sake leave aside the politics and think like a civilized society. Enough of the use, abuse and misuse of religion and please do not confuse people with vague religious moral policing.

Fear ….Pleasure…Religion & Healthy Personality

Whenever someone tries to share any instruments of fear and pleasure related to religion….it makes me think that our Stone Age fellow humans used to do the same and we still follow the similar path in a different way.

It makes me wonder and it makes me think……………Are we on the right path?

Whatever man does is activated by considerations of pain and pleasure. The fear of pain and desire for pleasure constitute his instinctive behavioral mechanism. Since death is man's worst fear, immunity from death, or eternity, ranks as the best favor.

Through fear, man began to believe that there is a god or goddess behind every force of nature such as the Sun, the Moon, the wind, the rain etc.; and if he submits to the deities they will show him favor by protecting him from disease, destruction and death. This is what gave birth to mythology i.e. the belief in superstitious gods and goddesses.

Modern religions could easily be understood and it doesn’t require similar notion of fear and pleasure…….or at least It doesn’t not require the similar notion which was practiced in the historical context, which gave birth to mythology…..

To me healthy personality is the foundation to understand the GOD…but it requires a rational sense of fear and favor. It involves training and to a large extent, control of personal behavior based on one's own free will. Since we constantly react to environmental stimuli, the healthy growth of personality requires a sound attunement of the individual to society, and vice versa.

What is healthy personality, it is the behavioral beauty of an individual, which constitutes a healthy personality, depends upon the harmonious working of one's likes and dislikes, attractions and repulsions, obsessions and vagaries, beliefs and disbeliefs and instinctive and learned judgments.

Believe you me, it is very simple notion…… to understand the religion and its importance for social balance even in contemporary world…..but so called religious pundits with tunnel vision always mislead people to acute confusion and prohibit people to question or rationally approach or understand the religion.

It is one of the worst dilemmas of our time.

I am glad at least my friends question everything and logically approach the religion and initiate healthy debate and exchange of views :-)

Lost in Chaos

Living in a society with non conformist views requires a lot of courage. Knee jerk reactions to non confirming thoughts especially in our society are common. Religion and sex dominates the value system, creating lots of subliminal chaos and weird artificial interaction leading to suppression of natural behavior, as a result, it develops a society with fake behavioral balance sheet.

Our society feels and looks beautiful vis a vis ugly western world. Hypocrisy, violence against women, male chauvinism, gender biases, unethical behavior always gets a social as well as moral cover rather gets a make up with extreme make over to hide the unwanted ugly spots.

At times, skeptics feel lost in social chaos, but yet they struggle and try to live and follow natural course of behavior with strong value systems…….they also try to find small little oasis to breath in social suffocating chaos.
